Privacy policy

Last updated October 30, 2026

Scott Dave LLC operates scottdave.com. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website, plan a door or get in touch. Our services are currently offered to U.S. customers.

Information we collect and why

When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to share: your name, email address, optional phone number, project location, messages, door selections, measurements and inspiration photos. We use it to respond, prepare quotes, discuss your project and, if you become a customer, manage your order and related service.

Our hosting and service providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, requested pages and security logs to deliver and protect the website. With your permission, we also use the analytics and advertising tools described below.

Please do not include payment-card details, government identification or other sensitive personal information in an inquiry. Only upload photos you have permission to share, and avoid including other people’s private information.

Who processes your information

We use Cloudflare to host and protect the production website, FormSubmit to process forms and attachments, and Zoho Mail to receive and manage inquiries at charlie@scottdave.com. FormSubmit’s submission flow may include a third-party spam check. Each provider processes information needed to provide its service under its own applicable terms and privacy practices.

When you allow optional cookies, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag process information for measurement and advertising. We may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety or the security of our services.

We do not sell your inquiry details or photos to mailing lists. Advertising providers may use browser and activity information for cross-site advertising; some privacy laws call this “sharing” personal information. We do not send the names, email addresses, phone numbers, messages or photos entered in our forms to our analytics or advertising tags.

Provider privacy information: Cloudflare, FormSubmit, Zoho, Google, Meta and LinkedIn. These providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

Cookies and your choices

Google Analytics helps us understand visits, pages viewed and site engagement. Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag help us measure advertising visits and confirmed inquiries. These tools may process cookie identifiers, browser and device information, IP or network information, and page activity.

Our analytics and advertising tags are enabled only after you select Allow. Select Decline to leave them disabled. You can still use the door planner and send an inquiry either way. Google Tag Manager manages our tags and loads to apply these settings; loading that manager does not itself mean you have agreed to optional tracking.

Use Cookie preferences in the footer to change your choice. If you withdraw permission after allowing tracking, the page reloads to stop the optional tools. This does not automatically delete information already received by providers or all cookies already stored on your device; browser settings let you remove stored cookies.

We store your cookie choice in your browser for up to 180 days. The form flow also uses temporary browser storage to recognize a successful submission and avoid counting it more than once. These storage choices are separate from the providers’ own cookie and data-retention periods.

The website currently uses your on-site cookie choice rather than automatically responding to browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Other parties may collect information about your activity across websites when you allow advertising tracking.

How long we keep it

We retain unsuccessful quote inquiries and their inspiration photos for up to 24 months after our last communication about the inquiry, then delete them from the email and file storage we control. If you become a customer, information needed for the project becomes part of your customer records.

We keep customer and project records for as long as reasonably needed to complete the work, provide applicable warranty or service support, meet accounting and legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Records subject to a legal preservation requirement may be kept longer. Copies held by our providers or in backups may remain until deleted under their retention processes.

We use reasonable safeguards and limit access to information to those who need it for the business. No internet service or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Email charlie@scottdave.com to ask about information you have shared, request a copy, correct it or ask us to delete it. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some records may need to be retained for an ongoing project or legal obligations. Additional rights and response requirements may apply depending on where you live and which laws cover our business.

A project inquiry is not a subscription to unrelated email or text marketing. We do not use this form as permission for automated promotional calls or texts.

Children and policy updates

This website is intended for adults planning home and building projects, not children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.

We will post changes on this page and update the date above. If a change requires an additional notice or permission under applicable law, we will provide it.
